RESULTS - Stableford Competition featuring Inter-team Rivalry MatchPlay #2 at Muang Kaew on Saturday 10 August 2024

A fabulous number of Londoners (31) took on Muang Kaew at the height of rainy season and were rewarded with a glorious day of weather. It appears though that the blue skies and sunny, hot weather plus thick rough and tricky greens were too much for most players as less than a quarter managed 30 Stableford points or more. Just one bettered their handicap and it was a delight to announce Anthony Everett as the overall event winner with 37 points.

The Flight winners were Noi Waratworayon (33), Petri Paukkunen (30) and Rob Taylor (34 points). Congrats to them as well. See all the flight and technical prize winners in the table below:

We continue to welcome new members to our society. At this event we met Aurelien Mery, Elliott Voth and Mark Ryan and enjoyed their company and look forward to seeing them many more times. 28 players took part in the latest installment of the 2024 Team Competition where Fireballs continued their domination of the season by taking a clear victory again from Stingers and Dragons who tied for 2nd whilst 4 Aces were last.

It was also the second of the three inter-team rivalry matchplays yesterday and these count additional points to the overall 2024 Team Competition. As usual the matches ebbed and flowed but in end Fireballs prevailed over Stingers (10 - 6) and Dragons won narrowly over the 4 Aces (8.5 - 7.5). Full Team scoring available on this page.

Registration is open for our August Stableford competition at Vintage Golf Club on Saturday 24 August with the first tee time at ~11:30am. Sign up is open now as True Handicap as usual.
