RESULTS - Stableford Competition at Vintage on Saturday 25 January 2025

A healthy field of 29 players battled unhealthy smoggy conditions at Vintage yesterday. Conditions in Bangkok looked really bad from the highway on the way to the course but once we started playing our rounds the sky brightened and smog slipped from the mind. One player shone much more than anyone else - Krishna Tiwary - as he hit his best, or nearly best, score ever. 85 gross for a Stableford score of 45 and a win by 7 shots! Congratulations Krishna!

The flight wins were taken by Tad Han (A), Terry Davies (B) and Donald McVay (C - first time winner I think - well done Don) with 38, 36 and 36 points respectively.

It was lovely to welcome new members to the society - Earnie Wark and Jamie Hemphill.

Main and technical prizes winners all shown in the table below (unless you are getting this on email from the website in which case the table doesn't show).

The 2025 Team Competition win was taken by the 4 Aces who used the power of numbers and Krishna's win to score the maximum 4 event points this time and they lead the early season table. Fireballs were 2nd (3 points), Dragons were 3rd (2 points) and the Stingers were lucky last again (1 point).

Registration is also open for our Pairs weekend at Lotus Valley on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 March. Form pairs if you can, sign up as a single if you want help finding a partner. We will send out additional forms for completion about reservation at the on-course hotel. We have 30 rooms booked for the Saturday night.
