RESULTS - MEDAL Competition at Floraville on Saturday 11 January 2025

A tough start to 2025 with a relatively rare Medal comp at a blustery Floraville featuring good looking new greens that still need many months to become receptive to balls. Until then we shall have to learn to hit the ball on to the green in ways that are successful. One player who had no problems was club champion Ben Hemphill who shot a fabulous gross 83, net 64, to win the event by 8 strokes. Bye bye to Flight C for Ben for 2025 at least I think.

It was great to see everyone back and showing off various incarnations of the club shirts. We welcomed 3 new members, Martin Finn, Doug Angus and Jamie Angus. We look forward to seeing you at many more events.

The team event got off to a great start. It has a new name - the 2025 Team Event! Naming rights are available to a sponsor...... There is a small change to the scoring system to keep things closer. 4, 3, 2 and 1 points are awarded at each event to the team that wins, is second, is third and is fourth. It was especially good if you are in the 4 Aces like I am as we won the event and sit happily at the top of the league for the first time ever.
